Why My Sweet Sixteen is Superbly Special This Year
- My birthday this year was celebrated at my parents' hometown, Taiping. Coincidentally, I had a dental appointment (yes, one on my birthday) which was on a Saturday, today. So, I could go back and like, have a party with them. The usual cake was there (though I can't eat it due to lactose-intolerance), obviously.
- Money money money, must be funny, in a rich man's world. In my case, a woman's. I received like, a whole lot of money from angpau from my aunts and uncles. Wahey!
- Got to meet my cousin's girlfriend. She's an ex-MGS girl, OH GOD. For those who don't know, MGS (Methodist Girls' School a.k.a. Monkey Girls School) is one of SMC's main rival schools back from goodness knows when. It's the same in Taiping too. Convent Taiping versus Treacher Methodist Girl's School. Screw it, we're talking about Ipoh people! Anyway, it's not like I totally hate EVERY single MGS girl. Hoy Yan is a good friend, and she's from MGS. But this lady (she's 29 years old) has taught in SMC (gasp!) before temporarily after her Form 6 and she knows my school pretty well. She's okay, but I can't seem to get over the fact that she was from MGS.
- Camwhoring, everywhere! Stealing my cousin's handphone (mine doesn't have a cam) to take photos of myself and her is pretty fun. Can't post the photos up here, she has YET to email them to me.
- Loads of presents and wishes! The last time I counted, I had 75 wishes on my Facebook wall, one on Facebook mail. Thanks, everyone. Before the Taekwondo meeting today, my Ranger friends (Siow Jean, Mel, Charmaine, etc.) were like screaming "Happy Birthday!" so loudly till all my Taekwondo juniors started wishing me too. Then Siow Jean and Mel ran like mad to hug me. Aiyo! Siow Jean gave me a present as well : A SHIRT. If you're reading this, Siow Jean, the shirt does fit, but it OVERFITTED ME. LOL. Ker Chyi and Dumbo gave me an early present (thanks) where both were superb too. It's like Christmas, but in July. Haha.
- Trying hard to squeeze out a present from my parents. My sis already sent me a card (thanks again : how many times have I said thank you already?). I requested for a story book (FANG!) and I hope they'll think about it. My mum thinks her present is the cake (no arguments there) and my dad says his present is taking me to the optical shop to repair one of my spectacles lenses. The left one got chipped off at the corner recently. It cost about RM43. Convert into your respective currencies using a converter, if you're not from Malaysia.
- This is something sad. My iPod, unable to be repaired, has been returned into my hands. Considered dead, it lies down and sighs as it takes its last breath in my arms. Yes, it cannot be repaired anywhere in Malaysia (it's an iPod mini, 1st generation, first manufactured in 2005) and so, I'm taking it with me when I go to Europe at the end of the year. I'll survive without music till then, I'll make it. If it can't be repaired, I MAY be getting an iPod Touch. Sure, it may be new, but I still have a sentimental feeling toward the old one. Sigh.
- I finally realise how serious my cousin is into obtaining a animation or graphic designing course. Or at least, something to do with drawing.
- I'M SIXTEEN!
- I'M SIXTEEN!
- I'M SIXTEEN!
See, it IS a long story. Attention : I'm one of the Acting 4 Heads next week. We're ready, I just hope luck is on our side and everything will go fine. Time to gear into action and act like one of the 4 Heads ( for those who have forgotten what this is, refer to the post titled 'Acting 4 Heads Begin!'). To Shari, Ker Chyi and Jichin (my partners), I hope we do well.
