Acting 4 Heads Begin!

Yeah, the cycle returns. And I'm in it. It starts this week with Syikin, Kah Ying, Kuna and Livya, ends with my group on the 12th week (can't remember the others who are with me). I'm also in the 5th week, the Saturday Physics exam week. Oh, God.

For those who are banging themselves against a wall cause they don't understand, let me give you a simple definition of the Acting 4 Heads. For those who already know, skip the next few paragraphs. Including those who don't want to admit they don't know what it is. *wink*

Normally, the 4 Heads indicate the Head Prefect and her 3 Assistants (all Form 5's). When the time comes, the slightly younger batch (form 4's) will be put to the test to see who will replace them the following year. First, they will write a resume (yes, RESUME) but I don't think I can reveal what's in them, for the privacy of the SMC Prefectorial Board. Then, the Form 4's go through a 'trial period' of carrying out responsibilities just like the 4 Heads. Some of the examples of the responsibilities are :

  • Creating duties for the other prefects on the week you are on the Acting 4 Heads duty
  • Creating duties for important events such as Open Day (refer to the part after the explanation on 'Acting 4 Heads') if you are on Acting 4 Heads duty
  • Check on the prefects at the time of duties
  • Make sure assemblies run smoothly

And so much more.

So,the Form 4's can be considered 'acting' like them. Thus, the term 'Acting 4 Heads'. Simple to understand, isn't it? Each week, it's either 4 or 3 Form 4 prefects who go through this cycle. The prefects who are on this duty change every week, of course. Each Form 4 goes through this 'acting' period twice with different partners. The seniors and teachers will see our capabilities during this quite long period of time (about 3 months).

After this, there will be a meeting to elect the new Board ( Head + Asst.Heads + Secretary + Treasurer) by the rest of the whole Board. Somewhere later, after the teachers have made their choice too, the new Board will be elected.

THE END OF THE STORY.

Now, let me inform you all (once again) about Open Day every year (this year, it's on this coming Thursday). It's the time where parents come to collect their child's (or children's) Report Cards and talk about their behavior with their class teacher. This can be a 50-50 situation. If the teacher says something bad about you, your mom or dad will go on scolding you for the rest of the journey in the car. If it's the other way round, you'll get hugs and kisses plus some presents if you've really been good. It can be either way round, but it's a gamble.

Grading for Taekwondo is THIS SATURDAY. Does anyone remember the Yellow 1 Poomsae again? Oh no, I'll fail this time around. Forfeit RM 45!

Gotta chow. See you around!
